Big Snow/Indian Head Mountain
June 30, 2022 - July 6, 2022
This is not a structured club event, but more a nice relaxing, do your own thing, or join like-minded friends, for some trail riding/sightseeing etc., organized by the Greater Milwaukee 4×4 Club. People are welcome to come for as many or few days as they wish.
Big Snow is are offering a nice reduced lodging rate: Buy 2 nights, stay the 3rd for free.
(if you are staying 5, you only get 1 free, if your staying 6 you would only pay for 4)
They have many different types of accommodations with different prices. If you enter the promo code “moto” it will apply the discount. The resort is dog-friendly.
The daily trail pass is $25.00 or Fri-Sun for $50. We can, as a group or individually do some side trips. For instance we could take one day and make it a water fall tour day https://www.bigsnow.com/waterfalls
If there were enough people that were staying long enough, we could try doing some exploring off the property, there are some nice trails close by, but they may require a mi ORV sticker.
Another attraction that is about an hour or so away is Lake in the Clouds: https://www.porcupineup.com/lake-of-the-clouds/
The resort itself has a “Sky Bar” at the top of one of the ski hills, it has decent food/ pizza, etc. and a great deck to sit on outside and look over the magnificent scenery, there is usually some sort of live entertainment on the weekends, and I would imagine more for the 4th of July

The nearby city of Wakefield puts on a great fireworks show for the 4th https://michiganfireworks.com/events/wakefield-fireworks/
The resort has a very large indoor pool, a great hot tub, and a steam room.
Since the resort is centered in the middle of the 7 hour plane crash trail, there are opportunities to explore the trail, and ending up coming back to the resort each night.
The final caveat is that Big Snow is for sale, the current owner feels that the new owners would want our business just as the old owners, but in the unlikely event they change their business model, the current owner assures the Milwaukee group that there would be 100% refund.
